3 Amazing Trims of the Jaguar XJ Series

The XJ Series from Jaguar completed half a decade of being around a few years ago. It was refreshed numerous times, with eight generations being launched, and the last generation was launched about a decade ago. The last upgrade of the super-luxury car came with a range-full of features; some were pretty useful and nice, while some had typical issues. There are two body styles – long-wheelbase and regular. And here are the trim options available:  

Sport   

This model is powered by a V6 engine with 340 HP, available in all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. You have leather upholstery inside, heated and ventilated seats in the front and the rear, a panoramic roof, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8-way power-adjustable seats in the front, one 12.3-inch digital instrument dashboard, HD radio, satellite radio, Bluetooth, navigational features, one Wi-Fi hotspot, and 18-speaker stereo.  

The XJ R-Sport has some impressive safety features that make it top-notch. The typical features for driver assistance include automatic speed limiting, LED adaptive headlights, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, rain-sensing wipers, parking sensors in the front and rear, lane keep assist, one rear-view camera, automatic emergency braking, automatic speed limiting, automatic high-beam headlights, pedestrian detection, and forward collision warning.

XJ Supercharged   

This trim comes with the rear-wheel drivetrain, automatic transmission, and a fuel economy of 15 in the city and 23 on the highway. The sedan has a rear defrost and power windows. It is available with a dual moonroof. The wheels are aluminum with the option of wheel locks.  

Key features include keyless start, adaptive cruise control, backup camera, rear parking aid, automatic headlights off, vehicle anti-theft system, seat massage, adjustable steering wheel with controls, automatic parking, remote engine start, passenger and driver vanity mirrors, power mirrors, heated mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, universal garage door opener, and electrochromic rear-view mirror.

   

The five-passenger sedan is well-equipped with entertainment features like an MP3 player, CD player, HD player, stereo, satellite radio, rear seat audio controls, hard disk drive, Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and premium sound system. Besides this, there are dual-zone air-conditioning, wireless cell phone hook, hands-free communication and navigation system, and climate control features.  

XJL Portfolio    

The XLJ AWD in the Jaguar XL Series has an all-wheel drivetrain with automatic transmission delivering 17 mpg fuel economy in the city and 25 mpg economy on the highway. The sedan comes with a dual moonroof with comfortable features like cruise control, alarm system, backup camera, optional adaptive cruise control, auto-off headlight, keyless start, seat massage, vehicle anti-theft system, remote engine start, and adjustable steering wheel. There’s a trip computer, intermittent and rain-sensitive wipers, power door locks, leather-strapped heated steering wheel with controls, driver and passenger illuminated vanity mirror, power-folding heated mirrors, and more. The trunk space is 15.2 cubic feet capacity.  

For entertainment, all the standard features of the Jaguar XJ Supercharged trim are also present in the XJL trim. Other than that, the seats inside the car are all leather seats. The front, rear, and driver seats are cooled and heated. The driver and front passenger seats are power seats. 

  

On the safety aspect, the XJL trim has airbags for the front passenger and driver seats in the front head, front side, and rear head direction. Apart from these features, there are child safety locks, cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitor, brake assist, daytime running lights, traction control, electronic stability control, auto-leveling headlights, and integrated turn signal mirrors.
