Acura rolls out the 2020 MDX

The 2020 MDX is the best selling, three-row crossover amongst all of its competition. With its 2020 model, Acura has covered every aspect that a family buyer would want to explore. A lot of the vehicle specifications are traditional and carried forward from its previous model, although it is clear that the new model continues to support the brand’s fun-to-drive character and is a machine on wheels designed for any adventure a family desires to embark on.

Performance and handling

The base variant of the MDX offers a standard 290 HP, 3.5L, V-6 engine that is powerful and efficient. One can opt for the Active Damper System and Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel drive™ (SH-AWD®) system, which increases the vehicle’s towing capacity to 5,000 pounds. The vehicle sports a confident nine-speed transmission, paving the path for a smooth journey. The SUV also features a standard idle stop technology that offers impressive fuel-efficiency.

Interiors and storage

While the exteriors of the vehicle have been carried over from its successful predecessor, the interiors are crafted, keeping in mind the family-focused occupancy of the car. The built-in moonroof can open up to a slight tilt or completely at the push of a button. Smart sensors enable it to be suspended if an obstruction is detected. The tinted glass helps reduce glare and heat. But let’s face it, a moonroof looks super cool on a car.

The crossover seats of the 2020 MDX provide plenty of legroom even with a third row and are equipped with one-touch smart-slide access, an independent climate zone, and heated seats, which are bound to make every passenger’s journey a pleasant one.

A very spacious 15 cubic feet of cargo storage sits behind the third-row seatbacks. You also are at liberty to fold down the second-row for over 90 cubic feet of additional storage. With that much storage space, you can never miss out on anyone or anything while you travel.

Navigation
The 2020 MDX features the Acura Navigation System, which is a super-intelligent, inbuilt, 8-inch driver-centric screen, that can help you get to your destination. It comes with a voice recognition system and AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic™ with advanced Traffic Rerouting™, saving you that extra travel time.

Audio and connectivity

Connect wirelessly over Bluetooth or via USB to enjoy your favorite music over the MDX audio interface. You can also launch the Pandora app from your smartphone or tune SiriusXM Satellite Radio to over 140+ digital channels and listen to top or trending music over the radio.

The 2020 Acura MDX packs with it a load of additional features such as:

  • Blind Spot Information system –  It can detect a vehicle in the next lane while going over 20 MPH. An indicator flashes if you signal in the direction of that vehicle.
  • Surround-View Camera – For those who adore precision parking, the 2020 Acura MDX is equipped with four cameras that assist you while you back it up in a parking spot.
  • Rear Cross-traffic Monitor –  The multi-view rear camera and sound and arrow indicators help detect vehicles on either side even while parking. So you can avoid denting another vehicle while parking at the mall.
  • AcuraLink – This feature empowers you to locate, or remotely lock/unlock your car, and even share diagnostic information in an emergency. Most features of the AcuraLink are complimentary, while some require an affordable subscription.
  • ACE Body Structure – The Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure helps reduce and disperse front crash forces drastically. For Acura, safety comes first.

Designed for the practical minds, the 2020 Acura MDX offers some of the most powerful engines, smartest technology, and deluxe features available in the market. If you are looking for something that can accommodate both utility and comfort, the 2020 Acura MDX is the SUV for you.
