  • Psoriasis : This is an autoimmune disorder due to a hyperactive immune system. The skin develops silvery, scaly and itchy rashes which commonly appear on knees elbows and lower back.
  • Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) : SLE is again an autoimmune disorder which affects several body organs and causes skin rashes and ulcers. The characteristic feature of SLE is butterfly-shaped rashes on the nose and cheeks. The condition turns worse upon sun exposure.
  • Shingles : They are painful rashes with burning sensations. The rashes, which are fluid-filled, generally appear on the torso but can also develop on other parts of the body.
