Easy jello recipes for Kids

Everyone loves Jello. The colors, the variety of flavors, the jiggly wiggly texture and the refreshing taste, what’s not to love. Jello is especially a summer favorite and is extremely popular with kids. Here are a few recipes that will be sure to attract the attention of any kid (or adult) around.

1. Blueberry sailboats

Ingredients

1 packet Blueberry Jello
1 cup boiling water
1 cup cold water
1 can Sliced Peaches, drained
Colorful toothpicks
Triangular colorful paper to make the sails’

Method

Add the blueberry Jello into the boiling water and keep stirring until all the Jello has dissolved.

Add a cup of cold water and mix. Pour this into small glasses and refrigerate until the Jello sets. Place the peace slices over the set Jello in such a way that the peach slice should resemble a boat on blue water (Jello). Insert the toothpick into the triangular paper in a manner that looks like it is a sail. Put the other end of the toothpick into the peach and serve.

2. Jello Pudding Pops

Ingredients

1 packet Instant Jello chocolate pudding mix
2 cups Cold milk

Method

Combine the Jello Chocolate pudding mix and the milk and whisk till well blended. Pour this mix into ice cream molds and add the ice cream stick at the end. Freeze for five to six hours till the pudding is completely set.

3. Jellin’ Melons

Ingredients

1 small Watermelon
1 packet Watermelon flavored Jello
1 cup boiling water
½ cup cold water

Method

Cut the watermelon in half and scoop out all the flesh. Add the watermelon Jello to 1 cup of boiling water and stir till the Jello mix dissolves completely. Let it cool down for a few minutes. Add ½ cup of cold water to this. Refrigerate for around 15-20 minutes till the Jello becomes slightly thick. Pour the Jello into the empty watermelon shells and refrigerate for 5-6 hours or all night so that the Jello becomes very firm. Cut into lengthwise strips and serve.

4. Jello Shapes

Ingredients

3-4 packets of Jello of the flavors of your choice
3-4 cups boiling water
Cookie cutters

Method

In separate dishes dissolve each Jello flavor with 1 cup boiling water each and chill overnight or at least for 5-6 hours. Once the Jello flavors are set, cut them with different shape cookie cutters and serve. Enjoy!
