This iPad is also equipped with a more powerful battery at 32.9 watt-hours. This allowed a user to use this device for around 5 hours and 15 minutes of video streaming using Wi-Fi at maximum brightness of the screen.

The processor in the new iPad is the A10 which is an upgrade from the Air 2. The on-screen graphic performance that was quantified by prominent tests observed an increase around 20%.

The Wi-Fi performance is impressive as the Air 2’s original dual-band Wi-Fi chipset has been upgraded to a global, single LTE model in the iPad 9.7-inch.

The other prominent features of the iPad 9.7-inch include the following:

  • There are dual speakers on the panel at the bottom as well as a lightning jack.

The iPad 9.7-inch comes in silver, gold, and space gray variants and runs on iOS 11. The main camera is 8 MP and has the capability of recording videos of 1080p quality.
