The Chevrolet Traverse is equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine, which paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, generates a horsepower of around 288, thereby making it a strong performer in the crossover SUV category. The Traverse is available in two drivetrain options – front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Chevrolet has brought out the Traverse in four trims which are – LS, 1LT, 2LT and top-of-the-line Premiere.

The LS base trim has an assortment of features included, such as USB and satellite radio functions, 17-inch wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, an AM/FM/CD player with auxiliary input, plus OnStar with 4G LTE with built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, a 6.5-inch touch screen display, a rearview camera, and daytime running lights. Chevrolet also has an addition of 10 cup holders for the convenience of the Traverse’s passengers.

The 1LT trim is equipped with an 8-way adjustable power driver’s seat, 18-inch wheels, body-colored external moldings, rear park-assist, heated mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a remote vehicle starter as part of the standard package. The premier model is a luxury trim as it offers many appearance add-ons, and is fitted with 20-inch aluminum wheels matched to the vehicle’s exterior chrome tint. Some of the upgraded safety features on the Premiere trim includes Blind Zone Alert and Rear-Cross Traffic Alert in order to make maneuvering in reverse gear, easier.

Chevrolet has ensured that all the basic safety equipment is extensive on all Traverse trims. While the StabiliTrak and anti-lock brakes aid in keeping the brakes from locking and the vehicle from skidding, the tire pressure monitoring system helps the driver to keep track of over or under inflated tires. Apart from the regular air bags, Chevrolet has also added in the unique and innovative front center side airbag which inflates between the two passengers on the front seat.
