At least one parent of the applicant must be either African American, native North American or Hispanic.

5. ALA – LITA/LSSI Scholarship

For those who pursue their career in automation of library and similar fields, this is one scholarship that could be awarded to them. It is awarded by Library and Information Technology Association to those who are members of principal minority groups.

6. American Association of Blacks in Energy Scholarship

Awarded to African Americans, native North Americans or Hispanic students, this scholarship is for those seeking a career in energy industry. The qualification criteria includes having a minimum of 3 GPA and being a high school major ready to pursue college education in science, business, engineering or math-related business with a motive of getting into energy industry.

7. American Library Association Spectrum Scholarship:

This scholarship is provided to the permanent residents of US or Canada of various ethnicities. The aim of this scholarship is to ready the students for pursuing their career in library services. They are known for bringing out the best students who later become the running hands of library institutes throughout the nation.

8. Amos & Edith Wallace Scholarship

For those who have a minimum GPA of 2.8 and are going in a career which is committed towards service and education, Emos and Edith Wallace scholarship is an option for them to get a benefit of $500. Student needs to send a 400-600 word essay along with the application.
